| | | Over 70 years after they went extinct, eight cheetahs landed in India on Saturday (September 17) from Namibia. The big cats were flown in on a modified passenger B-747 Jumbo Jet, which took off from Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek and landed in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. The cheetahs have been released at Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh. On board the jet were eight Namibian wild cheetahs, five females and three males. This is the first time in the world that a large carnivore is relocated from one continent to another. |

| India’s newest airline Akasa Air began commercial operation with its first flight service from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on 7 August 2022. The airlines has announced Delhi as the sixth destination on its network, adding to its existing network of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai and Mumbai. The airline said that the fleet size will be 18 aircrafts by the end of March 2023 and over the next four years, the airline will add 54 additional aircrafts, taking its total fleet size to 72 aircrafts. |
