Delhi airport's main runway to remain closed for 75 days for recarpeting |
|
|
The old main runway (28/10) at Delhi Airport will be temporarily closed for approximately 75 days for comprehensive recarpeting and minor repairs, starting from September 11-13. The recently commissioned runway (29R-11L) is expected to be ready for both take-offs and landings by the end of this month. As the fourth operational runway, its readiness will not impact the airport's flight handling capacity. |

United Airlines | Announcing second daily service between Delhi and New York/Newark Beginning October 27, 2023, United has added a second daily flight scheduled between New Delhi and Newark. The second flight will also be operated using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft and operate a daytime service in both directions. This second flight has been scheduled for the time being only through March 30, 2024. Here are the timings of the new flight: - UA816: Departs Newark at 09:40 am and arrives in Delhi at 11:10 am (+1), with a block time of 15 hours.
- UA817: Departs New Delhi at 01:15 pm and arrives in Newark at 07:40 pm the same day, with a block time of 16 hours and 55 minutes.

Viet Jet launches new route in India, now direct flights between Ho Chi Minh & Trichy Vietnam’s new age carrier, VietJet has announced the launch of direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India from November 2, 2023. The airline will operate three flights per week on this route, further expanding its flight network connecting India with Vietnam. |

Etihad announces 4th destination in the US, launches Boston flights
The airline is set to introduce a new destination with the commencement of four weekly flights to Boston from March 31, 2024.
