The Vande Bharat Express is one of the prestigious and modern trains run and managed by the Indian Railways. It is considered a semi-high speed train, which is the second fastest train in India, the first being the Gatimaan Express. The Vande Bharat Express, also known as Train 18 operating on 4 routes as of October 2022. Routes include New Delhi to Katra, New Delhi to Varanasi, Gandhinagar to Mumbai Central and Una to New Delhi. The 5th Vande Bharat Train will begin operations from November 10, 2022 on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route. After four years of planning, manufacturing, and testing, Train 18 was inaugurated on 15 February 2019 and was ready to begin service from New Delhi to Varanasi. Vande Bharat Express has a maximum speed of 160 km/h that can be achieved in a maximum of 140 seconds.
